The Northern Rivers region is a hub of diverse cultures and ethnicities, and as such, the community has developed several multicultural organisations to celebrate and support this diversity. Here are some of the organisations that champion multiculturalism across the region.
1. North Coast Settlement Service
The North Coast Settlement Service (NCSS) is a community-based organisation that aims to support refugees, humanitarian entrants, and newly arrived migrants in the Northern Rivers region. The NCSS provides a range of services and programs, including settlement support, education and training, employment assistance, and community development.
